The face of SmartRIA, he leads with a passion for team development, constant improvement across the board, and a mission to help the most people possible at scale. With a proven skill set in areas as diverse as investor relations, product management, customer service, marketing, and sales, Mac maintains a laser sharp focus on the work of building SmartRIA to help simplify compliance for RIAs with best in class software.
Chief Revenue Officer
Joe Sponcia is an experienced sales leader who specializes in working with $150 million-plus, multi-region accounts, opening new territories, growing stagnant accounts, and maximizing revenues through a deep, psychological understanding of people. Joe's career in construction, information technology, data center operations, and in working with State and Federal governments, as well as many big-box retailers gives him a unique perspective on growing revenue in challenging markets.
Chief Technical Officer
Adrian Carr is a software leader with over 16 years of experience in many different technical roles, and with many different technologies. He has worked for non-profits, multinational corporations, and medium size businesses, and loves the unique intersection of technology and business that comes together in software startups. He is passionate about company culture and helping people in business and technology to work together successfully. Adrian is the co-founder of KnoxDevs software user’s group, and stays active in the local technology community, commonly attending and speaking at different events.
Investor, Advisory Board
John brings 25 years of work with technology-based businesses to SmartRIA. He has worked with Roger on developing the company since early 2014, and is the first of its board members. John is founder of Clearpath Ventures, a C-level augmentation firm in Knoxville, Tennessee and prior to that was President and CEO of Technology 2020, a venture development organization focused on the development of entrepreneurs and start-ups in the Tennessee Valley Corridor. John has been at the forefront of technology growth in East Tennessee, and the SmartRIA team is glad to have his expertise in the mix.
Founder, Board of Directors
Roger began his financial planning career in 1996 with American Express Financial Advisors. Prior to launching SmartRIA, he founded Visionary Horizons Wealth Management, an SEC-Registered Investment Advisory Company focused on financial planning and wealth management for high net worth individuals. Roger holds his Series 7 and Series 65 securities licenses through Purshe Kaplan Sterling Investment as well as possessing his Life and Health insurance licenses. He is also a Certified Financial Planner® and works full time at his practice. He is very involved in his local community working with and supporting the likes of the United Way and the American Cancer Society as well as many local organizations in East Tennessee.
